I'll get back to them, but for today
I wanted to go with something more current.
Like last night ~ Halloween night.
So very strange, scary,
and a blessing.
~
An amber alert and search for
some missing children ended in
my neighborhood.
An alert motorist
spotted the suspect vehicle
and followed it off the freeway
and into my neighborhood
just down the hillside
from us. We could see
the lights from the police
cars through the trees
across our neighbors property.
A very low flying helicopter was
circling above our home
lighting up the woods making
the trees seem extremely stark
and dark against the lit up
area around us.
Not knowing
what they were searching for at
the time was a bit worrisome.
It was twenty minutes
before we received the reverse
911 call telling us to be
watchful... and that they
were searching for the lady
who took off with her neighbors children
as well as her own.
Um, yeah. Not what you expect.
The children are OK.
Thank goodness.

OK that is just craziness! A neighbor lady taking off with some children Sheez how insane is that!

Some days its a dark scary world we live in. Really makes you wonder what is going on inside of people's heads. Thank goodness they're safe now.
ReplyDeleteAlways grateful for a good ending to one of these horrific stories. I'm always left wondering what gets into people? Why would they do something so horrible. It's so sad.....
