Yesterday ~~~ On the Lake

What's blooming out on the lake?

  Mule's  Ears
(Wyethia amplexicaulis)
Sunflower family
We also have this in our neighborhood,
and there's even a clump of it near
our driveway garden.

It certainly doesn't feel like June.

We loved being out there with the sound of the rain
drumming on the canvas tenting.

Loved that there wasn't the usual June crowd
buzzing around on their personal water craft
or water skiing, back and forth.  It was quiet.

There were several houseboats
out there tucked away in coves,
along with a few passing by at their slow pace.

It was ~ A perfect day for napping (him), and catching
up on some reading (me).

Not so perfect for fishing.
Fish count ~ 0

   It was 60*F.
The lowest recorded high temperature
for June 4 here.
Lake level = 2.02' from the crest.

Can you see our nearest neighbor?
There's a hoseboat across the way
in all of these rain photos.

It was just a cozy
(with a propane heater and wool blankets)
lazy, perfect kind of day.

  2. Thanks Anita, for the birthday wishes. It's back to cold and rain for today, but later this week up to the 90's. That's a 40 degree difference from today. Maybe we get to turn on the cooler for the first time this year. Take care, Love ya. P.
