We went out to the lake last night, just for a short while after work.
We purchased dinner “to go” from LaFogata, our freeway corner market Mexican Restaurant
which happens to be on our way to the lake.
It’s really a nice place to go when you too tired to care too much about appearances.
I mean, even garden shoes and going or coming from the lake clothes are ok there.
Wind blown, lake water "straw" hair, yep, still OK,
because it’s located inside a gas station convience store.
It's separated, but you have to go inside and through the liquor isle to get to the restaurant.
It's another place where you get to know the owner, cook and the waiter.
His name is Juan. His wife is there sometimes to help.
Sometimes their daughter is there. She’s the same age as our four year old grandson.
They shyly like each other.
Anyway, we took dinner out to the boat and had a good evening.
Rick fished.

I didn’t say caught.
The fish were hanging around the docks while we were across the lake fishing the shoreline.
This is the berth next to ours.
It has floats to keep our neighbors ski boat up out of the water when it's at the dock.
Once the boat is in place, an electric air pump fills the floats raising the boat out of the water
to keep it from growing algae.
We take our boat out of the lake as needed for fuel,
and pressure wash the algae off the pontoons at the same time.
Fuel on the lake is $1.50 or more per gallon than just down the freeway a few miles away.
It's worth the inconvenience of taking the boat off the lake and relaunching it.
I think we have a 20 gallon tank on board.
We've only fueled at the marina a couple of times in almost three years.
The baby geese are growing and looking a bit awkward at this age.
The lake level is just over 3 feet from the crest. Everyone is excited to see the lake so full and beautiful!

You are so blessed to be able to "fish" and get out on the water! I am hoping this weather breaks soon for we can get out there too! I can't remember when the last time I went out in our boat...good pictures again!
