Fall Chores

It's that time of year again.
 We've gone from 90 degree weather one week,
to cold rain the next.
  Although it isn't that cold right now compared to winter temps,
it sure is chilly.  Enough to start
using the wood stove.

It's time to split and stack firewood, sweep the chimney,
clean up the gardens, and blow the falling leaves
off the driveway.

Saturday and Sunday it rained.
Cats and Dogs.
In just a twenty~four hour period,
our gauge measured 5.83 inches of rain.
For the entire storm, we got between 7 and 8 inches.
It was awesome.

These crows are ready to help out with the chores.
Wouldn't that be nice?

  1. Such cute crows! We got some much needed rain yesterday. Not enough though, we are over 7 inches below normal ~ drought. I love a nice roaring fire IN a wood stove.
