We're hosting
Thanksgiving Dinner here at our home next month.
I've been mulling it over on what to serve,
how to set the tables,
whether to cook a whole turkey
or try a rolled stuffed turkey breast or two...
Maybe I should do both.
I'm also roasting the turkeys
for the Seniors Potluck in a few weeks.
Yikes... the pressure. Over done, undone, timing...
Anyway, I wanted to show this picture
of the trunk of our car two years ago.
This was when we shared
Thanksgiving at our Cousin Phylis' home.
This photo reminds me of the song
"over the river and through the woods,
to grandmother's (cousin's) house we go."
Honey Bee Rolls, Cranberry Raspberry Apple Salads,
Corn Onion Casserole, Apple Pie,
Pumpkin Pie. Pumpkin Pie with Ginger Streusel Topping
and Pickled Green Beans from the garden.
The car smelled so good on the way.
The pies, rolls and casserole were hot from the oven.
I'm finding it hard to believe that the holidays
are just around the corner.
