This new week of the new year
has been all about
clearing out the old.
The holiday totes are
ready to get tucked away into
the closet. That's going to be
a day's work in itself as I want
to rearrange the tea totes as well.
I picked up several items for next
year's American Cancer Society Tea.
It's was a bit worrisome
not having a solid idea for next this years tea.
But now, I have a start ...
and a freshly angered fighting
spirit to support this cause.
Here's to a new year, full of possibilities and hope.
Yesterday I spent time
transferring dates and appointments
to the new calendars.
There's a calendar for upstairs,
one for down, plus the pocket calendar
for my purse. While looking through last
years calendar, I was reminded
of the days spent with our
Most were ordinary days,
some were extraordinary.
A family member was diagnosed
with breast cancer yesterday.
Her calendar will be full of
appointments as she begins
her fight against it. I'm hoping
for ordinary and extraordinary days
to fill up the rest of her calendar.
She's young and this is a fight
she's going to win.
